One of the fastest ways to write a blog post that sends a lot of people to your money websites is by using a text expander.
Based on recent tests, the AText expander doesn’t work inside the Ulysses app.
One work-around is to type it in some other editor, and then copy-paste to Ulysses. But that will slow things down a bit.
We’ll therefore need to search for a way to make this work right from inside the Ulysses editor window.
http://www.OneNegosyo.com explains how you can make offline blogging much easier.
At the moment, we just manually copy/pasted the text snippet previously defined in AText. Since that app doesn’t seem to work work in the latest OS upgrade, we’ll experiment with TextExpander (which is supported inside Ulysses).
The question is: Is the $44.95 stand-alone version of TextExpander 5 for the Mac worth it, it we have only a handful of text snippets to automate?
Perhaps we can try a different app such as QuickKey (P99.00) or Smart Typer (P49.00)
Update: QuickKey and Smart Typer are not working in macOS High Sierra 10.13
This is due to sandboxing issues.
We were able to migrate the AText app (without having to pay an additional license since we purchased the Mac Store version in the past), and AText is now working again in macOS High Sierra.
